NPAA Payout Numbers Now Available

IRS employees can now visit their NTEU representative to get their individual award amounts under the fiscal 2016 National Performance Awards Agreement (NPAA). Payments will be made on Wednesday, Nov. 23, in time for employees to enjoy their awards during the holiday season.

NTEU has worked for years to protect the NPAA program against IRS efforts to eliminate it in the face of budget pressures and an uncertain environment. NTEU is committed to this awards program as a meaningful way to reward your dedication to your jobs and hard work year-round.

Even after employees receive their payouts, NTEU’s work on these awards is far from done. NTEU has already begun analyzing the data to ensure that the agency properly calculated NPAA awards for each employee and there are no systemic issues. This year, NTEU will again analyze the data to determine whether the awards distributions are accurate and consistent with the contract. On the local level, chapter leaders are closely examining the data to make sure members were treated fairly.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the awards, please contact your chapter president.

NTEU firmly believes that an effective performance awards program is an essential part of recognizing your important contributions. The union congratulates IRS employees on their accomplishments and continued workplace success.
